So let’s be honest here, there are good days and bad days! But you deserve to have more of the good ones, so I wanted to share 3 easy ideas to help have more ‘good days’ and feel like you have control of each day, in this world right now:
1. Priortise – list out the top 3 things you want to achieve over the day, big or small, write them out. If they need a specific time set aside, schedule them in and organize resources you need. (Even self-care needs organizing!)
2. Be mindful and kind to yourself – I could easily write, be positive here, but from experience, it isn’t quite as easy as slapping a positive affirmation on everything and moving forwards. Acknowledge your thoughts, feelings and be mindful of where you are. There is no ‘wrong’ way to be feeling right now. Notice and try to think about the way you want to feel. Try, where you can, to change one key negative thought that comes up for you. You are in control of those thoughts and one by one, knock down the negative ones.
3. Celebrate – celebrate something, anything, every single day. Raise a glass of water, wine, coffee, green juice, whatever tickles your taste buds, acknowledge something wonderful about yourself, your life, your accomplishment of the day. (Do not laugh this off – I celebrated dressing my child without a tantrum yesterday!)
