When those sugar cravings kick in, wow do they send your brain into overdrive.

That feeling when you really NEEEEEED something sweet but you also want to make healthy choices, keep heading towards your big goals....but those biscuits in the cupboard or the ice cream in the freezer start calling out to you! And then you feel like you are losing all power, they're drawing you in, the freezer opens up and puts the ice cream into your hand....

Ok I dramatise a little, but hopefully you can relate to some of my horrible novel writing skills.

Let's hit the basics here, when you have a sugar, sweet craving, you shouldn't be riddled with guilt or have no choices.

Enter the Choc Chia Seed Pudding.

It really does hit the sweet spot, no pun intended. And the bonus is, it takes less than 3 minutes to make and has only 4 main ingredients!

Ingredients

1/4 cup chia seeds

1 cup milk (we use oat milk)

1 tbsp cacao powder

1 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp maca powder *optional

1 Pinch of sea salt *optional

Instructions

  • Put everything in a jar, shake it up.
  • Leave it to sit a few minutes and shake or stir once more to get rid of any chia lumps that have formed.
  • Leave it in the fridge for about 30 minutes before devouring! And feel free to top with berries or any fruit you fancy.
  • (Make this in the morning for a daytime snack or the night before as a breakfast!)

If you want a mousse consistency, blend up the pudding with a tablespoon of nut butter, delicious!

I hope this pudding changes your life like it has mine!!
