Top 5 Immune Boosting Foods

I just wanted to share some information on superfoods to try and help give you ways to boost your immune system, especially given everything that is happening right now in the world.

I am going to give you a quick roundup on the most nutrientdense foods on the planet – Superfoods.

➡️Superfoods nourish us at the deepest possible level. And as mum's - we need it!

➡️Quite simply, Superfoods are foods that have a dozen or more unique properties and not just one or two. Take the goji berry - complete protein, liver cleansing, anti-aging, antioxidants, twenty plus minerals and more!

➡️Superfoods are not quite classified as solely plant foods or a medicine, that are sitting right in the middle. They are the most concentrated, potent, nutrient rich foods on the planet! They have the power to massively increase the energy in the body, boost the immune system, elevate serotonin production and cleanse the body through reducing acidity.

Here are my top 5 superfoods and why! Try to get these beauties in wherever you can!

💚Goji – It has a therapeutic action on the body. It strengthens and invigorates but also supports the adrenal glands making it easier to deal with stress. They boost immune function, increase alkalinity, improve eyesight, blood quality and have anti-aging compounds. They are some of the highest antioxidant foods in the world and contain 2-4 times more than blueberries.

💚Cacao – The seed of a fruit of an indigenous American jungle tree. All chocolate is made from cacao beans. Cacao is chocolate. Highest concentration of antioxidants on any food in the world - you heard me - chocolate!! More than goji, acai, blueberries, pomegranates and red wine - COMBINED. Number one source of magnesium, crazy high in iron (which depletes like crazy when pregnant - a conversation I had with a midwife that I couldn't 'eat' my iron levels up, I had to take tablets, for another day!) But cacao has over 300% the daily recommend intake in just 28 grams. I could go on, zinc, vitamin C, Omega 6 fatty acids, serotonin, fiber etc. etc. You're looking for cacao nibs, powder, butter, paste, beans.

💚Maca – Highest altitude crop on the planet, grown in the South Andes as high as 4,300meters. (Looks like a root veg). Maca has a reputation to improve strength, stamina and libido! It has the ability to balance and stabilize the body’s glandular-hormonal system, nervous system and cardiovascular system. It increases energy, endurance, oxygen in the blood, and physical strength. And it also supports the adrenals, thyroid and healthy hormone production.

💚Spirulina – A freshwater growing, microscopic algae that’s been on the planet since life on earth. Contains an outstanding array of nutrients, chlorophyll, protein, vitamins, essential fatty acids (the ones the body can't make) and a vast spectrum of antioxidants. 65-71% protein (highest concentration of protein found in any food), powerful immune system booster too!

💚Coconut – Clear coconut water is one of the highest sources of electrolytes found in nature. The soft meat is pure saturated fat that has the ability to rejuvenate age related oxidative tissue damage, improve functioning of the nervous system, increase breast milk production and restore male sexual fluids. Benefits from cream and oil, improve digestion, antifungal and viral to build up the immune system, powerful antioxidants, healthy hormone production, increase metabolism and a million other things!
